The Autumn Equinox, also known as Harvest home and Mabon, is a celebration of the balance of the wheel of the year. Historically , by this time, most crops would be in, so leisure time increases as the light decreases. The Mother Goddess of Summer becomes the wise Crone at this ceremony. The God is the spirit of Grain, freedom and Wild things. The world around us provides beautiful, natural decorations: fall leaves, gourds and dried corn to name a few.
